Send A Pink Champagne Cake

An explosion cake was promised. But what did that mean? With caution, awesome designer friend and birthday girl, Vanessa and I approached the SendACake package. Camera ready – 1-2-3, Vanessa lifted the lid.
In Harry Potter Hogwarts style, the sides of the seemingly single-sided box turned into triple-tiered floral panels. A Pink Champagne Cake stood pristinely in the center. Peering through the mini cake dome, decorations of macaron cookies, chocolate kisses, and sprinkles came into view. Two tiny pretzel sticks also said hello. The cake was a petite and pretty birthday present for my "practically perfect in every way" friend. The same cake has also apparently been tagged as perfection by the bridal experts at The Knot.
A cut into the pink fondant revealed a petite two-layer cream cake. Vanessa took a bite and smiled. I dived in next with my fork. Memories of pretty Japanese cream cakes from patisseries lining fashion-forward Omotesando and Harajuku hailed me. Sweet cream complimented fluffy light white cake.
